My Story.
As a dietitian, I thought I had everything figured out when it came to nutrition and health. After all, I had the knowledge and expertise to guide others and it's always been important for me to practice what I preach. But nothing quite prepares you for the humbling experience of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Suddenly, the strategies I’d previously relied on didn’t feel like enough. My body and needs changed in ways I hadn’t anticipated, and I quickly realized that there’s no substitute for listening to your own body and coming back to the foundations of health.
It was during this beautiful and challenging time that I rediscovered the power of going back to the basics — balanced meals, movement, sleep (not always in my control), and mindset. By focusing on simple, nourishing habits and respecting my body’s signals, I was able to recover, rebuild, and truly thrive. This journey reminded me that often times, it’s the simplest steps that make the biggest difference
